RTW Charitable Foundation works to improve opportunities for all people to live healthier, longer lives.
Fund rare disease research
The RTW Charitable Foundation has a focus of supporting rare disease research. Drug development research for rare diseases often lacks the funding needed to learn if a treatment is effective and safe. In addition, some conditions are so rare that no profit model exists to bring such treatments to market. The Foundation believes that the lack of profit should not be a deterrent to promising treatments that can impact the lives of many living with rare diseases.
Area of Focus: For 2021, research focusing on cardiovascular, central nervous system, or immunological rare diseases in need of funding support are welcome to apply.
Types of Grants: Research proposals could support several elements in basic biology, discovery, translational, natural history, and clinical studies.
Letter of Intent: The Letter of Intent (LOI) is the first of two phases in the application process for this Research Grant Cycle. It should give a brief snapshot of the intended research project and will include the following:
- General contact information
- Disease area of focus
- Research hypothesis
- Goals and objectives for the research
- Research impact
- Requested grant amount
- Research area category
To apply: RTW Charitable Foundation will receive Letters of Intent (LOIs) from September 7th to 30th, 2021 through our online platform, here: https://www.cybergrants.com/rtwcf/loi.
